Elk Knob State Park Boone, North Carolina is a small state park. The park is relatively small with nice amenities. It offers backcountry camping, but no RV camping or hookups of any kind. It is located just outside of Boone NC. The address is 5564 Meat Camp Rd, Todd, NC. The park offers 4 trails from .5 mile to 2 miles in length and were described as easy to moderately strenuous. The Summit Trail will lead to an overlook with wonderful views. We hiked the one mile trail and found it very enjoyable. We saw deer numerous times.
Don’t miss the deer in the video!
