We have hiked up to the Rough Ridge Overlook off the Blue Ridge Parkway at milepost 302.8 several times. The overlook is located very close to the Linn Cove Viaduct. From the parking lot you hike about three tenths of a mile to the overlook. The hike is what I would consider between moderate and difficult, simply because it is very rocky with lots of roots. You can see the Linn Cove Viaduct in the distance. The views, once you make it to the top, are spectacular!
